About the Author
Dr. Stewart "Stu" Tubbs is the Darrell H. Cooper Professor of Leadership and is the former Dean of the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University. He received his doctorate from the University of Kansas, his Masters and Bachelors degrees are from Bowling Green State University. He has completed postdoctoral study at Harvard Business School and at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Dr. Tubbs has consulted for numerous corporations and has won three awards for his outstanding teaching. In 1994 he received the Outstanding Leadership Award in London, England from the Academy of Business Administration. He is the author of A Systems Approach to Small Group Interaction (7th ed.), 2001 and co-author with Sylvia Moss of Human Communication (8th ed.), 2000, both published by McGraw-Hill. He also is the author of a monthly newspaper column entitled "Insights."

A must-have for every school nurse!

Had been reading the hype about this book coming out and could not wait to get a copy. Did get it here for a little less that list price but what a deal. The most comprehensive text to date on School Nursing. A must have for every school nurse without a doubt. And this author is publishing a School Nurse Certification Review that is due out in July 2008, cannot wait to search for it here to save some dough!

No School Nurse should be without it!

This is a book that every School Nurse should have. It is a constant resource for your everyday practice. The book is very large, but there is so much information in it, that I can't see cutting anything out to reduce the size. If you are a school nurse or even thinking about becoming a school nurse, this is a must have!

Nuts to Bolts - Everything you want know

When anyone asks me what book they should read about how to use a view camera, I recommend Stroebel's View Camera Technique. I have a third edition and the 7th, while maintaining many of the original illustrations, the 7th edition is even better. If you are like me and want to know the how and why of view cameras. This is the book to read.

A Really Great Reference!

I love this book...I was introduced to this book by my med-large format photo instructor. She is one of the best I've had in years. She told the class that the only way to get better was to read everything you can on the subject and to go out and take pictures.

I wanted to be able to take a reference with me when I was out taking pictures, and since she wouldn't be out there with me and I couldn't call her whenever I had a question. This book has saved me more than one or even ten times when I was out taking pictures and no one was around to ask a question. I highly recommend this book to those who are serious photographers who really want to learn their craft well!

The Bible of Large Format Photography

View Camera Technique is the most comprehensive, detailed and informative text I have found on the large format camera. All key topics and areas are covered in clear, easy to understand, and very readable language. I am a beginner/amatuer who has been desperately seeking every bit of help and information I can get. Although there are some excellent books on the subject (Ansel Adams three book series "The Camera", "The Negative" and "The Print" and Steve Simmons' "Using the View Camera" are superb examples), View Camera Technique is the most detailed and comprehensive of the bunch. This book has "unveiled" many of the mysteries of the large format camera for me. I highly recommend this volume for any photographer who has a yen for these combersome, complex cameras and the joy they bring. A definite must-have.

Absolutely Necessary for a Top Score

I purchased this book two weeks before my exam and subsequently scored a 750 (50Q/41V). I used the Kaplan Premiere and Kaplan 800 books for the initial portion of my study, as well as the GMAT Verbal and GMAT Quant Review books. While these books helped me get used to the format of the exam and even prepared me for difficult verbal questions, I found them to be too easy in the math sections. Even the Kaplan 800 was a breeze -- I could complete the entire book without missing a single quant question. The Manhattan GMAT Quant review, on the other hand, was a great challenge. The problems were thought provoking and significantly different from anything I had seen in my other books. If I had not completed this book before the exam, I would have been stumped on many of the more difficult quant questions and unable to solve them in under 2 mins. This book is an absolute MUST for anyone aiming for the 750-800 range.

Absolutely necessary for those last few points!

I was scoring consistently around a 45 on the Quant section, but after a couple of months, I felt like I was hitting a wall and couldn't boost my score any further. Having finished all the regular Quant strategy guides' practice problems, I wasn't sure where else I could turn for additional solid help. Then I found out about the MGMAT Advanced Quant strategy guide. This book's drill sections and concept reviews really hit the spot (though I only got through 3 of the 15 before my GMAT) and helped me improve my score by an extra 4 points on the real GMAT. I completely recommend this book for anyone who's doing relatively well on Quant, but wants that extra leg up to tip the scales.

Boost your quant score - best

If you are in 42-46 range in quants and wanted to crack above 48 , then this book is for you. Nice insights into strategies on how to approach a problem. The question set is the best . They have provided 150 hard and tricky question to train you. These questions can be solved in regular way which is going to take more time. But eventually its you who have to assimilate and apply those strategies to increase your speed in solving problems.

If you haven't read manhattan gmat series, then you might find it little difficult to correlate at times.

Overall truly a great book.

I would have loved it if Manhattan had provided these 150 questions online , so that you can track your time. sigh!!

Excellent treatment of the Subject Matter

I choose four starts for this book because for what it covers it is great. The book is divided in three broad sections, starting with Biblical Theology, then moving onto classical and then contemporary theology. It lays good groundwork for the aspiring student. The reason I enjoyed this volume is because of the biblical theology it incorporates at the start. Not many intro theology books look at this (e.g. macgrath, milgore, etc.) The chapters moves nicely into one another.

The bonus of this book is that all the major controversies and movements, protestant and catholic (to a lesser extant eastern orthodox) are treated fairly.

Now onto the sections. The first part looks lays the groundwork for a "Biblical Theology" Themes, of creation, noah, Abraham, and covenant are all treated in good summary fashion. From the patriarchs, he moves onto the kings and prophets and the writings. (He follows the Hebrew canon in this section). In the next part he introduces the Christian movement at it's early days and goes through all the important names and people to Nicaea and beyond. The medical church and reformation comes next.

In contemporary he start of with the Renaissance, the enlightenment/modernism and postmodernist movements. All in all the discussions i found very enlightening (no pun intended) and manyof the pieces challenged me to think hard especially where we come to the modern movements (e.g. freud, darwin etc.)

The author writes well and there is a sprinkled throughout the text of his humor and fondness of paradox. Some of his judgements seem a bit strong and sudden but then he goes onto explain why this would be so.

The book is only an introduction so the reader shouldn't expect a lot of depth but you get all the essentials to make informed decisions about the people, ideas and events being treated.

I like this book. It will make an excellent companion volume to MacGrath Christian Theology and Olsen's Story of Christian Theology, both also available on Amazon.

About the Author

Ajith Narayanan

Ajith Narayanan is the chief technology officer (CTO) of InfraStack-Labs in Bangalore, India, and has more than 11 years of work experience as an Oracle [apps] DBA and platform architect with expertise in infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, and performance tuning of medium to large e-business suite environments. He holds a postgraduate degree with PGDBA (finance) from Symbiosis, Pune, an M.S. (software systems) from BITS Pilani, a BE (electronics and communication) from Amrita Institute of Technology, and a diploma (computer technology) from Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Technology. He has worked in different technical positions as an Oracle DBA, APPS DBA, Oracle apps platform architect, and configuration management technical leader in companies such as GE, Dell, JP MorganChase, Oracle, and TCS. Ajith was at GE before joining InfraStack-Labs. He is also a regular speaker at national and international Oracle user group conferences such as SANGAM, NZOUG, DOAG, UKOUG, OTN APAC Tour, AIOUG Tech Days, and so on. His white papers have been published on the Oracle Technology Network in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Ajith is currently serving the ORACLERACSIG board as the web seminar chair (from October 2015), and has previously served the board as the website chair (September 2011 to September 2013).

It's a decent enough story

I was with this up until the end. The ending is a bit of a let down. The whole story builds up a conflict between Chun Li, her dad and Sagat. Which is a little strange since there's never been a Chun Li/Sagat conflict before. They also manage to throw in Dan's origin story. It's an ok side-story to their main comics but it's a bit weak. It's better than the Chun Li movie but not great either.
